“Art has always reflected culture and it also influences culture. It is time for art to reflect its very source, our Lord Jesus Christ, and draw our culture to Him.”
A farm boy by birth, Kenneth left the pastoral environment in his late teens, in favour of the creative gifts he was discovering, to study and to work in Theatre. He spent the first decade of his acting profession living in major cities, but was continually drawn back to the natural environment of farm life. In the 80’s he began to balance his acting career with farming and ranching, and thrived creatively, spiritually, and physically. Ken and Marlane have raised their 6 children on the family farm. He writes articles and speaks at seminars and conferences on issues of education, the arts, and family life. He is Director of WISDOM Home Schooling, founded by him and Marlane in 1995, and Kenneth was named president of Living Water College of the Arts in 2007. In 2008 he was ordained a permanent deacon in the Archdiocese of Edmonton and was appointed to serve three local parishes. He credits the grace of God, excellent staff, and loving support from his family as the only means by which he is able to fulfill his daily tasks.
