Fred and his wife, Marianne have three young adult offspring. He runs a home-based business in St. Albert, creating websites and custom graphics; and he supports the military doing contract work at their Area Simulation Centre in Namao, Alberta. He is past Over-all Director of the Edmonton-Strathcona Live-In Society, past President and Executive Director of the Alberta Pine Shake Homeowners Association, and past Chairman of Live-In International. He is an active member of the Knights of Columbus; and does the desktop publishing for their annual prolife calendar – which features artwork from the local junior and high school. For five years he enjoyed acting in a variety of roles in the stage production Love According to John (the passion of our Lord) at the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton. |
red was born in Carman, Manitoba in the late ‘40s. He attended the Universities of Manitoba and Winnipeg, and received his Bachelor of Arts (major in Philosophy) in 1969. He was awarded his CF pilot wings in 1970. After 25 years of flying helicopters in Europe and Canada, and serving in a multitude of senior officer positions, he retired from the uniform.
